Simple things
Using the flat side of a knife to push pieces of apple off the edge of a cutting board and into a bowl—things seem so simple.
The knife is metallic. The apple pieces are wet. The cutting board is dry. The bowl is bowl-shaped.
Things seem so simple when they have shape and color, when you can touch and see them.
Things get more complex when we turn them into thoughts.
