A daily commitment is huge. Maybe you could change the newsletter name to Something Thoughtful or something else that doesn't require a daily commitment. 🙂
Yea, that would be an easy fix. I've also considered continuing to write daily but just not for the whole year. I could write daily for 3 months, then take a 3-month break, then write daily again for 3 months, and so on. What do you think?
You should do what works best for you. Just let readers know the plan.
You could also take some time off from publishing to build up a stockpile. Then spread the stockpile out over several months, one or two or three per week. Then you would have the freedom to write at your leisure and keep still yourself scheduled in advanced.

I don’t think daily publishing is necessary.
