In a moment, there is nothing you need. It is only over time that needs arise. It is impossible to be hungry or tired in a moment. It is only over a period of time that you become hungry or tired.
These needs keep you from peace. They fill your mind with motivation for action. They tell you it is time to go and get something to eat. It is time to lie down and have a nap.
To fend off each of these needs would be like pulling leaves one by one from a large tree. To grab the tree by its trunk and pull up its roots, you need only to forget the passage of time.
There is nothing to need, if there is nothing to come. There is nothing to need, if there is only now.
That's beautiful. It's something I've also been thinking about lately, living in the moment. It brings me the most peace, and lasting peace as well.
It feels so different, switching from the "digital world" to the "real world," noticing things I didn't before, and time itself seems slower.
Thank you for this moment of thought 😊
