You can talk to yourself, listen to yourself, and have empathy for yourself in the same way that you do these things in a loving relationship with someone else.
I agree man! And thanks for sharing that. I struggle with my self-talk too. Most often it's because I'm worrying about worst-case scenarios. My rational mind just has a way of fixating on what can go wrong. It helps just to check in with myself and be aware that I'm doing that with my mind. Haven't quite found a way to permanently solve worrying, but I find that the awareness is a good start.
