YES I LOVE THIS.

I love that:

1) you are not a writer, you are who you are. And you happen to write

2) you write as a way to deeply connect with others. Not for money, fame, but to connect and share human experiences

ugh i love this so much

Thanks, Kelly! That "you are who you are" idea is something that has been continually coming up for me recently. I look back and see all the different identifiers and categories I've tried to fit myself into. I fit for a while, but then I have new experiences. I change. And so the identifiers change too. Now I'm less eager to assign identifiers for myself, as I've realized they're inevitably ephemeral.
