I pulled a page with a column I liked out of the newspaper, positioned it on the wall above my desk, and made sure it was parallel with the ceiling. Then I started pushing a thumbtack through the top-right corner.
This is such a relatable situation, but described with so much drama! Some walls just do not seem to like allowing decor to be placed upon them. I also absolutely adore your phrasing of the pin going into the wall up to its hilt :)
Thanks Olivia! A lot of drama, I agree 😂 At first, I was just going to succinctly describe the moment that the thumbtack wouldn't go into the wall, then it became this hyperbolic, extended metaphor.
